Vanson Family Bursary

Awarded to any in-course student in any program on the basis of financial need.

Established in 2021 by Gil and Lois Vanson. An alumnus of Lakehead University, Gil earned his FORDP ’68 and BED ’79 and worked in the Faculty of Forestry (now Natural Resources Management) until his retirement as the Forestry Lab and Field Instructor. Dedicated Lakehead supporters, both Gil and Lois volunteered in many ways with the University. Their commitment to financial support for students led to their creation of this special bursary.
