Water, Land & People Graduate Research Award

Water, Land and People is a three year “Place-Responsive” research initiative. This research promotes inquiry that is rooted in what is local and includes the unique history I environment, culture, economy, literature and art of a particular place. Students with research focusing on, or contributing to, the geographic and cultural region known as Northwestern Ontario may apply. Open to graduate students from all disciplines and departments. Individuals and teams may apply. All students must be graduate students. Team members may be enrolled in different programs. Applicants must submit their proposals, including budgets, to the ad-hoc committee of the Sustainability Stewardship Council.
Made at the recommendation of the ad-hoc committee of the Sustainability Stewardship Council to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Preference will be given to applicants supported by matching funds from supervising faculty members.
