Prof. Marjorie Wallington Indigenous Undergraduate Nursing Bursary

One award to a full-time student, self-identifying as Indigenous, who is enrolled in a BScN Program in years 2, 3 or 4 on the basis of financial need and satisfactory academic standing.

This bursary was inspired by Marjorie Anne Wallington, Professor Emeritus, of the School of Nursing. Marjorie taught and encouraged hundreds of nurses in training, at Lakehead University’s Thunder Bay campus, with particular interest in psychiatric nursing and healthcare for Indigenous communities. She was very appreciative for the bursaries that provided the opportunity for her post-graduate work.
