Indigenous Law Centre Award

As a condition of acceptance to the Lakehead University Law program, students may be asked to participate in the Indigenous Law Centre (ILC) summer program hosted at the College of Law in the University of Saskatchewan. Lakehead University recognizes that some students may encounter a financial barrier in attending and has created the Indigenous Law Centre Award to help students who have accrued costs for tuition, books, supplies, moving, and living expenses.

The ILC Award is available to students who will be enrolling in the ILC program and who demonstrate a financial need. The award provides up to $2,000 to the Lakehead University student account after successful completion of the ILC program and registration as a full-time Lakehead University Bora Laskin Faculty of Law student. Number of recipients will vary based on funding availability.

Open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
