The Heather Saaltink Memorial Award

A lifelong athlete, Heather was a 4th year student who was a member of the varsity running team and Masters Swim Club. She was a strong and independent thinker who balanced work with play and made the most of the University experience. Heather was actively involved in efforts to promote campus car-pooling, garbage reduction, fair trade. Pride and the preservation of architectual hertiage. Heather was well liked and inspired those around her with her adventurous spirit and love of life. Awarded to a 4th year student athlete, who is active at the Varsity or club level and demonstrates a commitment to environment protection and social justice, inspiring others to make a difference. Preference will be given to a student in the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
