"Canada Sea to Sea" Scholarship

Established to commemorate the retracing of the 8,600 km Alexander McKenzie Voyageur Route, from Quebec City to Bella Coola, British Columbia. Led by Dr. Jim Smithers, Professor Emeritus, Lakehead University Outdoor Recreation students arrived in Bella Coola, on July 22, 1993, 200 years to the day of the arrival of Alexander McKenzie. Awarded to students entering the Outdoor Recreation, History or Geography program, on the basis of academic standing.
