The John Zanatta Memorial Award

Established in 1990 in memory of John Zanatta, a student-athlete and former basketball coach at Lakehead University. Awarded to a second, third or fourth year student on the basis of a minimum of ‘B’ standing and outstanding athletic ability. Student must also portray leadership qualities within the University setting. Preference will be given to a student-athlete participating in basketball. Financial need may be considered. Awarded by the Senate Undergraduate Scholarships and Bursaries Committee on the recommendation of the Department of Athletics.
