Linda Phillips Memorial Bursary

Established in 2021 by a fellow retiree following her passing. In 1961 Linda Phillips became Secretary to the Principal of the Lakehead College of Arts, Science and Technology, Dr. Harold Braun. She continued to serve as Secretary to five Presidents of Lakehead after the College became Lakehead University: Dr. William Tamblyn, Dr. Andrew Booth, Dr. George Harrower, Dr. Bob Rosehart, Dr. Fred Gilbert and Acting President, Dr. John Whitfield. She enjoyed a long and very happy career at Lakehead and was known widely among administration, faculty, staff and students as simply, Linda. Awarded to a student enrolled in the English Program based on financial need.
