Daniel Beardy Memorial Award

As a child, Daniel learned to play hockey on a frozen lake in with snow banks for boards. His talent and passion elevated him to be named both top goaltender in the Superior Junior Hockey League and top 2nd place goaltender in the National Canadian Junior “A” hockey league for the 2003-04 season. Daniel Beardy was a dedicated individual whose desire for excellence and willingness to work hard inspired and motivated those who knew him. One award awarded annually with preference given to an undergraduate student who identifies as a Canadian of Indigenous ancestry with a minimum average of 70%.
