Christopher D. J. Hacio Memorial Law Award

This award is presented in honour of late Thunder Bay lawyer Christopher Hacio, who prior to his passing in 2019, maintained an outstanding dedication to the profession of law and a commitment to community engagement. This award was established in 2021 by Chris’s wife, Daniella, his three daughters, Amanda, Melissa and Andrea, and friends of the Faculty of Business at Lakehead University. Awarded on the recommendation of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law to an in-course student with a minimum B standing taking a civil litigation course or completing their placement practice in civil litigation, and have indicated current community involvement.
