Millie Barrett Memorial Award

Created by family and friends in 1992 in memory of Millie Barrett who was an instrumental force in the social, cultural and political fabric of Northwestern Ontario. (Information is available at the Chancellor Paterson Library, North Studies Resource Centre, regarding Ms Barrett’s contribution to the Region).
Awarded to a full-time or part-time undergraduate in-course student pursuing studies in the political, historical or social-cultural disciplines. The successful recipient will submit a written summary outlining their political and/or community involvement in Northwestern Ontario. Preference will be given to female or indigenous students.
