Alex and Vince Mirabelli Community Champion Spirit Award
Vince Mirabelli, a well know community champion, grew up in Thunder Bay having graduated from high school and too business courses at both Lakehead and York Universities before starting a career in property management. As a realtor, Vince has been honoured many times, including a 2016 national award for outstanding philanthropy.
Vince’s parents were instrumental in shaping his deep-rooted community spirit by encouraging him to work hard, love his family and friends, and help those less fortunate. Vince has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Thunder Bay not-for-profit groups and received a 2019 Volunteer Extraordinaire Award. Vince’s motto is “We make a living by what we get, but we make a live by what we give.”
Awarded to a high school student entering Lakehead University and has demonstrated exemplary community spirit by completing, above and beyond, the required 40 hours of community service to graduate. The student can be registered in any given program with demonstrated financial need and academic standing to be considered.
