Grant L. Thain Memorial Award

Grant Thain was an educator in Thunder Bay from 1944 until his retirement in 1972. He was the principal of Fort William Collegiate, Selkirk High School and latterly employed in educational administration. Active in the community, he believed fervently in the value of education, serving on the Board of Education and numerous volunteer.

Awarded to a student continuing their education at Lakehead University and entering the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law based on academic excellence and financial need. Community involvement and extra-curricular activities will also be considered.
