G Sydney and Dorothea C Halter Award of Merit

Created in 1999 by Mr. G. Sydney and Mrs. Dorothea C. Halter, both life-long residents of Thunder Bay. Mr. Halter is named Fellow of Lakehead University and was the former Lakehead University Board Chair (1984-1986) and is Chair of the Lakehead University Foundation (1995- ). Awarded to a fourth year Honours Bachelor of Science student on the basis of financial need and a minimum B+ standing. Preference shall be given to students from Thunder Bay and district.
