Myrna Lou (Evans) Kristiansen Award In Nursing

Myrna Lou (Evans) Kristensen had a 30-year career in Nursing, 25 years of which she served in the position of Night Supervisor at the Port Arthur General Hospital. She passed away in 1983. She had always wanted to come back to school to earn her BSc degree in Nursing, but because of circumstances was never able to attain that goal. This award is given in memory of Myrna Lou (Evans) Kristensen to a student entering his/her second year in the School of Nursing at Lakehead University. This award will recognize academic excellence and outstanding student citizenship and is awarded in perpetuity on the recommendation of the School of Nursing.
