Robert (Bob) Asselin Education Award

Established by Elaine Asselin in loving memory of her husband, Robert (Bob) Asselin, Lakehead alumnus, BA ’74, who passed away on May 31, 2020 and in recognition of his long-standing and accomplished career in education. As an educator, Bob was a teacher, principal, administrator, consultant, curriculum coordinator and superintendent of education. An exemplary leader, Bob advocated for continuing education and community involvement.
Awarded to an experienced educator enrolled in a Faculty of Education graduate program. Preference will be given to a student from N.W.O. who demonstrates a minimum 80% average and a strong commitment to curriculum development and implementation, leadership in education and/or an interest in information management technology. The Faculty of Education will forward their recommendation to the Faculty of Graduate Studies.
