Thomas Cornell Memorial Graduate Award

Established in 1987 in memory of Thomas Cornell, a long-time resident, horticulturalist and well-known nurseryman who lived in the Thunder Bay area. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry and the Forest Environment and the Chair of the Department of Biology and the Senate Undergraduate or Graduate Studies Committee to a graduate student who shows interest in the propagation and cultivation of ornamental trees and shrubs for Northern Ontario. This interest may be demonstrated through in-course assignments such as term papers, germination, propagation or outplanting projects."
