In memory of Joan Gothard, Lakehead alumnus, M.Ed. ‘82, who passed away in October 1999; in recognition of her longstanding career in education and her strong belief in the importance of education. Awarded on the recommendation of faculty, to an in-course student of high academic standing with an interest in the role of teacher as administrator.
