Betty Heath Nursing Award

Established in 2017 by Betty Heath, a retired registered nurse with 37 years of service in health care. A life-long learner, she graduated from Lakehead University at the age of 60+ with an honours Bachelor of Arts, English and an award for academic excellence. Awarded to a full-time fourth year student enrolled in the School of Nursing on the basis of high academic standing and financial need. Preference will be given to an Indigenous Nursing student. The recipient will be determined on the recommendation of the School of Nursing Scholarship and Awards Committee.
