Mathew and Beverley Stefureak Family Bursary

Established by Beverley Stefureak in 2020 in loving memory of her husband of 51 years, Mathew (Matt) Stefureak. A passionate and dedicated educator in Canada and abroad for three decades, Matt had an insatiable thirst for knowledge and adventure. He and his family traveled extensively, learning invaluable lessons about other cultures and making friendships with students and colleagues around the world. At home, this evolved into lasting relationships with international students at Lakehead, most particularly from Southeast Asia. The award recipient will be a full-time student enrolled in any Psychology or Political Science program offered at Lakehead University, based on financial need.
