Jane Spurgeon Award

Jane Spurgeon, a Lakehead Forestry Diploma graduate who tragically lost her life while working in Geraldton during the summer of 1979. In her memory this this award is awarded annually on the recommendation of the Faculty of Natural Resources Management to a student entering second year who exhibits good potential in the forestry field. The recipient will be judged on potential in the forestry field, ambitions, interests, extra-curricular activities and academic standing.
