Don H. Chevalier ORPT Bursary

Established in 2024 by alumnus Don H. Chevalier (BA’91, HBOR’91). Passionate about the outdoors and the natural environment, Don attended Lakehead University as a mature student. During his time at LU, Don particularly enjoyed canoeing Canada’s waterways throughout Ontario, Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories. He was selected as 1 of 25 students to participate in the 1989 re-enactment of Sir Alexander Mackenzie Bicentennial Expedition (Phase I – Ft. McMurray to Inuvik). This bursary is an effort to ensure other students have similar opportunities.

Awarded to a full-time entering student enrolled in the Outdoor Recreation, Parks and Tourism program on the basis of financial need
