The McCallum Family Bursary

Awarded to an in-course student registered in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management degree program on the basis of financial need and a minimum ‘B’ standing. Recipient must be a Canadian citizen or a Landed Immigrant and must have resided in Ontario for 12 months prior to receiving this bursary. The candidates for this bursary must major in Forestry.

Award Background
The McCallum Family Bursary was established by Maureen Doig and her brother William McCallum. Maureen was the first female Chair of Lakehead University’s Board of Governors. The bursary was established while Maureen’s son was a student in the HBScF program at Lakehead University’s Thunder Bay campus.
